ColPaC ® Universal Ice Pack, Standard (10 x 13.5)
This ColPaC ® Universal Ice Pack will give you excellent cold therapy in a convenient and comfortable size. It can be used on the ankle, back, elbow, shoulder, wrist, neck, and anywhere else you have a sprain or strain. This universal ice pack will give you up to 30 minutes of cold therapy to help relieve your aches and pains. Conveniently store a ColPaC ® flat in your freezer for 2 hours not below 0° F for cold therapy whenever you need it. This universal ice pack is flexible and comfortable and can be used over and over. A dry terry cloth should always be used between the ColPaC ® and your skin and kept constantly monitored to avoid irritation. Never heat and never use as a hot pack.
Applications:
For Initial Chilling of the ColPaC ®, remove from all packaging, place flat in Chilling Unit Freezer for two hours.
Do not chill below 0° F
To keep moist, place in a plastic bag, seal, and then place in freezer. This will preserve them and prevent them from drying out or getting hard.
Never Let the ColPaC ® Dry After Use - Always Keep Them In Freezer.
Remove the ColPaC ® from freezer and place a hand towel between the skin and the ColPaC ®. Apply to area being treated.
Treatment time should not exceed 30 minutes
This product does not secure to treatment site with velcro or any other fastener
Precautions:
Do not sit, lie, or sleep on the ColPaC ®
Constantly monitor application to avoid skin irritation.
Do not heat or microwave the ColPaC ® to use as a hotpack. Use only as a cold therapy.
Care:
Wipe all moisture from the ColPaC ® before returning to freezer.
Lay the ColPaC ® flat for storage in the freezer.
The ColPaC ® is most serviceable when kept in a freezer set at 12° F (-11°C)
Store in freezer when not in use.

I purchased one of these Colpacs from my local Chiopractors office for about 50% more then this websites price, I just ordered two more. It is a great product and so much better then an ice pack oor ziploc with ice in it. I have a pinched nerve creating sciatica, my wife has a herniated disc, I no longer have use of my Colpac as my wife took over its use soo I ordered two more, highly recommended, convenient and handy and serves its purpose very well, If I hhad more freezer space I would buy a couple more sizes or designs.

I have used ice packs all my life having played football, basketball and been in construction. This is best one I have ever used. It is soft, durable and conforms to any part of the body. I have two of them. One big one and a smaller size. I have had one for close to three years with no sign of wear. If you need to use an ice pack this is by far the best.

Good cold! Weak covering..., March 23, 2010

The flexability and size are great but I have had them puncture easily and have had to replace. My mother (who has dementia) uses them for back pain and loves them, but cannot tell me how the punctures occured. Any chance there is a protective cover that would not be too thick so the cold still gets through?

I have been using the Colpac for years. It has seen me through cervical disk surgery, abdominal surgery, knee scopes, and, currently, a frozen shoulder. I have two so I can rotate them. At times, it's even better than the pain medication!

Great until it ripped by the seam, November 18, 2009

I had it for about 3 years, I didn't use it very much but it worked really well. The last time I went to use it I noticed that it ripped by the seam where it is vacume sealed. This is clearly because of the way it is made but, what can I expect the company to do after 3 years... Nothing!

I bought one of these several years ago on the advice of a physical therapist. It is well made and will last for years. It is comfortable to use and it remains soft and pliable at freezing temperatures. It's easy to clean.
